I was born and raised in Florence, Italy in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural family. While this presented some challenges, I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been exposed to a wide range of cultures and diversity at such an early age. My upbringing has influenced the way I approach my art in a multitude of nuanced and not-so-nuanced ways.
My first 'proper' short film was APPNTMNT which you can watch above. It proved an instant success with film festival audiences, gathering a number of awards and selling to an international distributor which gave me the courage to keep going.
And continuing I did, first with the sci-fi horror IN LUCIDITY, and then followed by a pilot for a sci/fi series called E.A.S. (Emergency Alert System) which tells the story of a young, adopted Arab woman as she navigates the aftermath of a cataclysmic event in near-future America.
I recently completed EVERBLISS INN as an episode of the horror/thriller anthology BLACK VEIL. It won the Audience Award for Best Featurette in the Another Hole In The Head film festival and Best Short Film in the Chicago Horror Film Festival. In 2023 I was also named Filmmaker of the Year in ProMoviemaker Magazine for the music video SUMMONER.
None of these things have gotten to my head, quite the opposite -- they keep me humble while pushing me to get better and keep learning. And while I have no idea where my career will take me next, I am really excited to find out.
